In this exciting workshop, you’ll transform a Glaskolben (pre-blown glass tube) into a beautiful, one-of-a-kind garden globe or ornament. With guidance from our instructor, you'll heat, spin and blow your design.

Glaskolben Hand Blown Glass Workshop

Limited Class Size:
Adults Only - You will be working with an open flame

Create a custom hand-blown garden globe or ornament – no experience needed!

In this exciting workshop, you’ll be spinning a Glaskolben (pre-blown glass tube) in the flame.
It must be kept level and constantly rotating in one direction while heating.

Choose your colors from our collection of glass frit, which is placed inside the tube to created the color.
All materials and safety gear provided.

Each person blows three tubes
Tissue paper and travel bag will be provided to take your finished pieces home.

Garden Globes:
The tube remains intact.

Ornaments:
The tube is cut and a silver ornament cap is placed on the cut top.
